Lukasz Mozdzen

Lukasz took a bronze medal at this year’s Senior Nationals and so his confidence was building. He won his first two matches by ippon relatively easily. In the final match Lukasz scored ippon with uchimata 15 seconds into the match. National Champion!

Juvenile Divisions

• Simon Davis – Lost two hard fought matches where he was winning in both but lost by hold downs. Simon and his family are moving to Nova Scotia and we wish them the very best and we will miss them. Best of luck Simon and we hope to see you September 13, 2008 at our Golden Anniversary Kawasaki Rendokan Challenge 2008.
• Dean Felker – Started well with two straight wins by ippon. Then lost his two ensuing matches.
• Andrew Balach – Started well too winning his first two matches by ippon and then losing his next two matches.

IJF Divisions

• Raeanne McAlpine – Rae lost her first match but bounced back and won her second match. She fell behind early in her Bronze medal match with a wazaari and managed to score yuko.
• Nick Ruge – Lost his first match by ippon. Bounced back to win his second match, but lost his third match and was eliminated
