Pre-registration week prior as well as weigh-ins to make things smoother Event Day.

Calling on everyone to support our August 13, 2011 Ti-Cat vs Argo Game and 50/50 draw. We really need 40 plus volunteers to make this work and worth while. I hope that everyone will make an effort as we do need everyone to participate in order for us to succeed. Game starts in the evening at 7pm however we need to be there by 6pm. We still need to sell tickets to this game, however those who volunteer get in free (including children)

Reminder: CJCC and Club Picnic August 14 at Christie Conservation. We can fish and canoe and play until 5pm.

The following rules will be applied for our Grass Roots Event June 11, 2011.

• Everyone will weigh-in and each competitor will be given a registration card (entrance fee is: $15.00 per person)
• Start time and weigh ins: 8 am weigh-ins and start time 9 am.
• Ribbons will be awarded.
• Ideally divisions will comprise of 4 or 5 persons and a round robin system will be used.
• Each match will last 2 minutes accumulating points as follows:
• One referee and one judge per mat area

Ippon 10 points
Wazaari 7 points
Yuko 5 points

Hold Downs:
20 seconds for Ippon
15 seconds for wazaari
10 seconds for yuko
Mercy rule will apply at the referee’s discretion.

We need your support for success to happen. Come and be a referee or judge or time keeper. Come out and participate if you are a junior or novice belts (white, yellow, orange) Higher belts will be placed into teams and team rules will apply. (senior and juniors)
Do Not Forget that our Yard Sale will also be taking place at the same time. Maybe you will find a treasure that you have been looking for for many years.

• NO SATURDAY early morning class.
• Saturday competitive session at Kaizen Judo Club 10 am starting ending 1pm.

Judo Club Fund Raising TiCat commitment required by all family and members.  (4 games with August 13, 2011 Argos vs TiCats 50/50 draw) We need commited volunteers for this Saturday evening game) Please respond with your commitment to participate or with regrets asap.  I need a yes or no commitment this will coincide with organizing a new parent committee for social events.

Gosia and Mara placed 3rd in Goshin Jitsu Kata at Nationals.

Gosia and Mara will be participating in the World Kata Championships in June and Sensei Herman and Sensei Paul will be competing in the World Masters Championships in Germany in June. Good luck to all.
