Congratulations to Sensei Kimberly and Sensei Gosia for their receive success during kata judge examination which took place on September 17, 2017 in Ajax. Both Senseis are now National Level A Kata Judges in the following 5 katas:

  • Nage no Kata

  • Ju no Kata

  • Kodokan Goshin-Jutsu

  • Katame no Kata

  • Kime no Kata

On Saturday November 26, 2016 two members of Kawasaki Rendokan Judo Academy attended The Kata Judges Examination held at the Dojo Beauport in Quebec City.  Sensei Kimberly Ribble-Orr and Sensei Gosia Dzierzgowska both passed the examination obtaining National B Level Kata Judge Certification in Ju No Kata.

What is Kata?

Kata is one principal way of practicing Judo. Kata meaning "form" is practiced following a formal system of prearranged exercise. Kata practice teaches trainees to learn the principals of judo techniques.
